Quick Start: Setting Up Happ VPN

Step 1. Download and install the client

The Happ client runs on Xray-core and is available for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iPhone, and Smart TV — grab the build for your device.

• Go to the Happ download page and find your platform
• Install it the same way you would any other app on your system
• Open Happ — you'll land on the start screen

Step 2. Request an access key

Without a key the app installs fine but can't reach any server — keys and subscription links are issued exclusively through the service Telegram bot.

• Open the bot via the link on the Happ Telegram bot page
• Request access: there's a 3-day trial (see free access) or a paid plan with unlimited traffic on the pricing page
• Copy the key or subscription link the bot sends back

Step 3. Paste the key into the app

On first launch, Happ walks you straight to the add-key or add-subscription screen.

• Paste the copied text into that field
• Wait while the app pulls in the available server settings
• Once at least one server shows up in the list, the key was accepted

Step 4. Connect to a server

Now pick a server — for streaming video or online gaming, a nearby node with the lowest latency is usually the better choice.

• Browse the list on the Happ servers page
• Tap the server you want and hit connect in the app
• The status should switch to connected within a couple of seconds

If it doesn't work the first time

A rough first connection almost always comes down to one of a few simple fixes.

• Turn Happ off and confirm your internet works without a VPN at all
• Try a different server from the list
• Check whether your key expired and request a new one from the bot if it did
