Happ Configurations: Subscription Link vs Single Config

The Happ app connects using Xray-core configurations — a set of technical parameters telling it which address and protocol to reach. These come exclusively from the service Telegram bot, and you can load them into Happ either as one subscription link or as an individual config tied to a single server. Which one you pick affects how easily you can hop to a different server once one starts buffering video or spiking your ping mid-game.

What a configuration actually contains

It's essentially an encrypted data set for Xray-core: server address, protocol, port, and encryption keys. The Happ app reads these parameters to build a secure connection — without a valid configuration, there's simply no connection to make. That's why it should only come from the service Telegram bot, never from a random site or forum post.

Single config vs subscription link

There are two ways to load access into Happ:

  • Single config — a fixed set of parameters for one specific server, with no automatic updates.
  • Subscription link — a whole bundle of servers that refreshes automatically, so the app picks up new addresses without any manual editing.

For most use cases — especially when you need to quickly jump to a lower-latency server for a game or stream — the subscription link is the more convenient option; it needs less upkeep and makes switching easier.

Loading a configuration into the app

Keys and links are issued in the Happ Telegram bot. From there you copy them into the app, usually by importing the link or scanning a QR code, depending on the platform. A full walkthrough for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, and Smart TV is on /en/setup/.

Where keys are stored and issued

Every key and configuration is tied to your account in the service Telegram bot — that's also where you see which links are currently active and request new ones. More detail is on /en/keys/, and the general logic of handling configurations inside the app is covered on /en/configurations/.

When it's time to switch configurations

If a server starts lagging — video buffering, ping spiking mid-match — try another configuration from the same subscription link first; it's usually faster than troubleshooting a single fixed config. Browse the server list and picking tips on /en/servers/.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What separates a subscription link from a single config?

A subscription bundles several servers and updates automatically, while a single config is fixed parameters for one specific server.

Where do Happ configurations come from?

Only the service Telegram bot, which issues both keys and subscription links for the app.

Can I keep more than one configuration at a time?

Yes, Happ can store several links or configs and let you switch between them right in the app.

Do configurations need manual updates?

A subscription link updates on its own; a single config sometimes needs to be swapped out by hand.
